OPRO Spring Concert
Jointly Sponsored by OPRO and MAC
The Old Post Road Orchestra will hold its final concert of the season, titled “Legends of Sound: A Showcase of American Music”, on Friday, June 24th, 7:30 pm in Memorial Hall, 198 Main St, Monson.
This concert will be under the direction of the final candidate of OPRO’s conductor search, Alexandria Black. The orchestra will perform tried and true favorites of Gershwin and Duke Ellington, patriotic tributes, as well as some less widely known composers featuring the woodwind and brass sections.
Another highlight of this concert will be the very special recognition of orchestra member Pauline Lamothe’s upcoming 100th birthday .. a truly remarkable milestone.
